There is a fixed supply of 44M $SALT, split into three categories with 60% allocated to Gen 1 holders by staking the NFTs, 30% allocated to fund future development of succeeding drops, and 10% of the total supply allocated to the Governance DAO Treasury.
Every Genesis 1 holder has to first stake their Peanuts/Passes to mine a maximum of 16 $SALT/day for a period of one salt season.
The total $SALT supply will be divided across 4 salt seasons. There will be a decrease of -4 $SALT per season until holders only get to mine a maximum of 4$SALT/day in the last quarter.
Changing your Twitter profile picture to a Presidential Peanut will earn you 2 $SALT/day and if you keep your Peanut PFP for 30 days straight, you will earn a Pink Salt Serum (see more info under “Mutation”).
By spending 960 $SALT, holders can procreate a seed and mint a new class of NFT by breeding 2 Presidential Peanut NFTs. Such seed needs to be staked for 20 days to reveal a Baby Peanut, which are cheeky versions of the Genesis Peanuts that can be customized further using $SALT tokens.
OPTIONAL: Pay $720 $SALT and only stake for 7 days.
Once you change and keep your Twitter PFP to a Presidential Peanut for 30 days straight, you will receive a role in discord after the 30-day mark. This role will be used to claim the Pink Salt Serum (valued at 480 $SALT), which will be used to mutate your Presidential Peanut NFT.
Salt Picks let holders add one non-stackable multiplier to $SALT per wallet. By purchasing a Pickaxe for 5,760 $SALT, you can add a 1.5x multiplier to the Peanuts/Passes within 1 wallet.
Every transaction in the Peanut ecosystem will include a 4% fee (in $SALT).
$SALT, as the key currency of the Peanut ecosystem, has a variety of applications, including Evolution, Breeding, Nutdrops, Peanut Trait Marketplace, and much more. As we keep on exploring other ways to increase the value of $SALT and its uses, in the meantime, you can use $SALT to:
